NEW - SCARCE EARLY R JOHN WRIGHT MODEL "B2": This is a very early cloth doll by R John Wright released in 1978 in an unnumbered edition. It is model "B2" and resembles a farmer's wife with a rake. Dressed in a delightful and colorful dress with over apron. Cloth kerchief holding back her hair. Bare feet and defined toes. As with all of John Wright's earlier dolls her felt body has a browner rather than a flesh tone to it. Large almond eyes with white accents. Holding a wooden rake. Original R John Wright Vermont tag on her wrist. No box as the earlier dolls did not come in boxes. Excellent condition in a very limited edition early RJW doll................... $1350

R JOHN WRIGHT "PATRICK AND HIS TEDDY BEAR": Delightful doll by R John Wright from the Little Friends Children Series. 18" tall. R John Wright modeled this doll after his own son. His face is the typical RJW painted pressed felt face .... similar in style to the Lenci dolls.... made of the finest all-wool felt. Lovely, expressive brown painted eyes and soft reddish brown hand knotted mohair wig. Dressed in a typical boy childs costume of plaid shirt with denim coveralls. Fully jointed felt body .... very similar in style to the vintage Lenci dolls. He is holding the very first bear doll that was ever designed by RJ Wright. Comes with his original RJW box and tag on clothing. Limited edition number 206 out of 250 dolls made. Excellent original conditionwith no moth damage. Beautiful example of a child doll by the very talented artist, R John Wright ...... using his own son as a model !! .................... SOLD

R JOHN WRIGHT'S CURIOUS GEORGE: Delightful retired plush toy by R John Wright. Released in 2002 in a limited edition of 500. This Curious George is #89/500 and comes complete with his original packing box and certificates. He is 9" tall with the main body constructed of alpaca plush fur. He has a typically molded felt face with finely painted features. Inserted black glass eyes. His hands and feet are of sewn felt. His easily identifiable yellow Curious George hat is just delightful. Felt molded face beautifully painted in the typical RJW style. Felt body with moveable joints. Strawberry blonde hair. Dressed in a little Lord Fauntlery type of suit manufactured of brown velvet. with a matching hat. Made in a limited edition of only 150 .... originally sold through the Enchanted Doll House in Manchester, Vermont. This is the companion to "Emily and the Enchanted Doll". This item is #119 out of 150. Comes with his original tags and box. In good condition but has been displayed out of a protective case and has some age related darkening to the white organdy collar, cuffs and white socks .... therefore reasonably priced well below current market value ...................... TALKING "MRS BEASLEY" BY MATTEL: This is a talking "Mrs Beasley" doll by the Mattel Corporation. Circa 1967. When you pull her string she says recorded phrases such as' .. "I do think you're the nicest little friend I ever had". Her vinyl face and paint is in nice original condition. Rooted blonde hair with plugs intact. Cloth body with familiar blue and white pattern is in nice bright condition. ...... original apron and tagged collar also in nice condition. Bright yellow color on cloth feet. Has her original Mattel manufacturer tag. Glasses are replacements. Nice example of a favorite vintage doll ! .................................. SOLD
