5" DOLLHOUSE DOLL IN LACE: Lovely small example of a 5" antique bisque head german dollhouse doll (shown in the white gazebo under french fashion accessories). Circa 1905. Pretty smaller size antique doll has fixed blue glass eyes and an open mouth with porcelain teeth.  Original light brown mohair wig. She is on her oribinal five piece composition body with painted white socks and black shoes. In excellent, original condition. Beautiful early antique lace and silk dress with blue ribbon trim. UNUSUAL "LADY OF VENICE": Very unusual 10 1/2" bisque doll originally purchased in the 1920's by a gentlemen who was a world traveler. The doll was purchased in Venice and hence I have named her "Lady of Venice". Her head arms and legs are made of bisque ... I am unsure of the main body as all of the clothes are sewn on. I think that she was orginally meant to be either a puppet or an ornament of some kind as there is a hanging hook at the top of her head and her lower bisque legs and lower arms are joint pinned to fabric upper thighs and upper arms, making them quite moveable and bendable. Her facial coloring is very nice with rouged cheeks, painted eyes and mouth and there is some very sharp modeling at the cheeks. She is dressed in lovely antique clothes of black silk with a pink silk blouse trimmed in lace. On her bisque feet are molded little black shoes with heels. A very unusual doll !! ..........
